See what our clients have to say about us…

“I have been attending Sue’s Pilates classes for some years now and have always found them very enjoyable with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. As I have got older they have really helped to retain my joint flexibility and Sue’s advice for those with balance or bone density problems has been especially valuable. I would certainly recommend them.”

– Lesley Hart

“I LOVED the Bone Density Builder! It was for me the perfect combination of variety of kneeling, lying, prone etc and the strength of stretches that really suited my creaky back – thank you. The background birdsong was very relaxing!”

“Sue is very caring and dedicated to running Pilates  classes to suit everyone’s requirements, she gets to know each persons individuals needs and offers alternative exercise options for specific injuries and bone density during the class. We are encouraged to ask what we would like to be included in the class. Sue  is a physiotherapist and I have complete confidence in her teaching & she regularly attends training courses herself and comes back with new exercises to keep the class interesting , safe and fun for everyone.  I always look forward my weekly classes, both for the benefits of Pilates and the camaraderie of the class.”

– Sue G

“I have been coming to Sue’s Pilates  classes for 4 years & have encouraged several friends to join too. The classes are  not competitive but are self challenging. We exercise at our own level under Sue’s clear instruction and watchful eye. She brings lots of variety & progression to the classes each term. Do they help? Well they certainly did with a problem I had with sciatica and stiffness in my neck & shoulders.”

– Brenda Morris

“Every week I look forward to Pilates with Sue. She’s a professional, and ‘knows her stuff’, so we exercise seriously, and it’s often quite hard work, but never beyond our individual limits.  However, more than that, we are a group of friends caring for each other, having a great time and a good laugh, because we are in an atmosphere of friendship and fun engendered by Sue, who knows us as people, not just as Pilates pupils.  It’s a time to relax and keep healthy.”

“I have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. This is an inherited, painful and disabling condition that causes me frequent joint dislocations. Pilates is the only exercise therapy that the medical profession have recommended for this condition. I have attended Sue’s Pilates classes for many years now. I try my best to stay mobile, but I have deteriorated over time. I can’t manage to get up from the floor without her assistance, for which I am grateful. I feel totally confident and safe during Sue’s Pilates class. This is due to the fact that she has gone the ‘extra mile’. Sue has investigated more about Hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos, gaining more knowledge of the care and management of these conditions. This not only provides me with what I need, but would also help others with this condition. Her classes are my ‘life-line’ to maintaining the best I can be.”

– Yvonne Bennett

“We joined one of Sue’s classes after a recommendation from friends and a visit from Sue to show us some of what it would involve before we signed up. I must confess that at first I went merely because my wife was keen but I have come to appreciate and value the benefits, particularly with a history of back problems, of classes led by someone who not only exudes professionalism but does so with kindness and humour. As a former teacher, I know skilled and learner-centred practice when I see it. And you meet some nice people too!”

– Phillip Lee

“Thanks for all your efforts over the last six weeks. My daughter and I have very much enjoyed mixing between both classes each week and especially this week can notice a difference in our balance and flexibility. “

– Angela McNealy

“You’re a natural! I think I’m in the same room as you. Love all the bone density/posture stuff – and my abs are screaming today as I did the 30 min abs twice!”

– Sylvie Amos

“I attended Sue’s first ever Pilates class as a complete beginner and never having been particularly interested in gym-type classes. From the start I was pulled into the range of exercises, well explained and demonstrated and the variety which Sue introduced. Sue knows every one of her attendees personally, our strengths and weaknesses and it frequently feels like she has developed the programme for this particular class specifically with me and my needs in mind. The exercises draw on techniques which regular attendees now know well, but are always varied and never predictable, to stop any possibility of boredom. I have benefited enormously from the care which Sue has shown, over the years and continue to attend because I know how much difference it has made to my back and its long term” problems.
